Kevin Homich Riley, 51, of Winchester, Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home.

Kevin was born in 1966 in Arlington, Virginia, the son of James T. Parker of Morristown, Tennessee and Judith A. Southers of Stanley, Virginia.

He was a graduate of Elisk High School, Class of 1984 in Texas. Kevin was a bartender for many places over the years such as Red Hot and Blue, TGIFriday’s, Cobalt in Washington, DC, and Coalie Harry’s. He also drove a cab with Polly’s Cab and Uncle Sam’s. He loved pop and top 40 music, classic black and white movies, was a WWE fan (especially the Hardy Boys), and was an animal lover.

Kevin married Jeremy Riley on July 7, 2015 in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with his husband and parents are two sisters, Dawn Denise Warren (Frederick) of Front Royal, Virginia and Jennifer Lynn Matisans (Steven) of Manassas, Virginia; brother, Travis Quinton Parker (Kim) of Stanley, Virginia; and his best friends, Allan Mace of Winchester, Virginia and Kelly Swartz of Winchester, Virginia.

Kevin loved a great party, 80s music, and Halloween. Therefore, a Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, October 31st, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Appleland Sports Center, 4490 Valley Pike, Stephens City, Virginia. Please RSVP to [email protected] by October 27th so that we may have an accurate headcount prior to the celebration.

This will be a pot luck celebration. Each guest is graciously asked to bring a covered dish, a food platter, OR a dessert. No alcohol is permitted. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Kevin’s favorite color was red. To honor his memory, please wear an article of red clothing. He would have loved that. And if you are unable to attend, please consider making a memorial contribution in Kevin’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 124 Park Street SE, Vienna, Virginia 22180.

Interment will be at a later date in Columbia Gardens in Arlington, Virginia.
