He married Alberta M. Griswold 30 Jul 1947 in Sandwich, Illinois. Pat was formerly employed by Del Monte in DeKalb and then by Caterpillar where he retired after 33 years as well as farming his family farm. He was a square dance caller for 30 years and also taught square dancing. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb. Pat was a Boy Scout leader for Troop # 19, was the supervisor of Pierce Township and enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta; his four sons, Gary (Vicky) Braffet of DeKalb, Craig (Patti) Braffet of Hinckley, Jim (Sue) Braffet of Sandwich, Curtis (Peggy) Braffet of Carlock; 10 grandchildren, Steffanie, Terry, Chris, Gerry, Kelli, Amy, Julie, Meghan, Kristen, Kayla; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, 12 Nov at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 S. 4th St. in DeKalb. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place at Anderson Funeral Home Crematory.
