Barbara Jean Treadway was born May 25, 1953 in Friona to Albert and Sylvia Shackelford Treadway. She attended school in Hereford. Baba was manager of Big Daddys Truck Stop for twenty-five years, she also managed Fast Stop for fifteen years and was Transportation Manager for PCS for seven years. She made the best Chicken and Dumplings you ever ate in your life. She loved to work puzzles. Chocolate Cake and Coke was her favorite things to have.
Barbara married George Steward in 1972 in Hereford.
She was a Lutheran.
Those mourning her passing are three daughters, Angela Garcia and husband Ramiro, Sherri Saucedo and husband Rafael and Selita Gonzalez and husband Roman all of Hereford, one sister, Louise Vogler of Vega, two brothers, Robert Treadway of Hereford and Charles Treadway of Amarillo, nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband George December 23, 2012.
The family suggests memorials in Mrs. Stewards name be made to The American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell Ave, Amarillo, Tx 79109
