Ms. Dawn Marie Bowers, 21, died on February 18, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Dawn was a 1998 Academic Honors graduate of Central High School, where she was a member of the R.O.T.C. Color Guard. She was a junior at the University of Southern Indiana, majoring in psychology and criminology. Dawn was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Lambda Beta Chapter of USI. She worked part-time at Hooters Restaurant. She served an internship at Vanderburgh County Child Protective Services. Dawn was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She is survived by her mother, Sharyi P. Bryan (Wiley) and step-father, Danny Bryan of Evansville, father, Robert L. Bowers and step-mother, Nicole K. Bowers; two Sisters: Heather Bryan and Stevie Bowers both of Evansville, Indiana; grandparents: Ronald & Sheila Bowers, Darrel & Patricia Wiley, Dorothy & Robert Rheinlander, grandmother, Jean Lopez, and Daniel & Mary Daniels; Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at Alexander Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, Evansville, Indiana, Reverend Earl Rohleder officiating, with visitation Friday, February 22, 2002 from 1:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Alexander North Chapel. Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery, Kratzville Road, Evansville, Indiana.
