Lee E. Phillips, 84 of Belfast, passed away September 25, 2018 at Sussman House in Rockport.

He was born December 23, 1933 in Henrietta, Ohio to Floyd and Bessie (Sheets) Phillips. He was a jack of all trades and a very hard worker. Lee delivered food for schools and was a crossing guard. He was known to be quite a talker about any topic.

Lee won second place for his home decorated Nativity Scene at Christmas time. He loved children and would dress up as Santa Claus for the local children and for Headstart. His greatest enjoyment was attending all the sports events his grandchildren were playing - even traveling out of state to watch their games.

He was predeceased by both parents; his son Kirk Stovall; his siblings and a son-in-law John W. Gilbert.

Lee is survived by his wife of 49 years, Edith Phillips of Belfast; his children Jude Gilbert of Lincolnville, Karon Flood and husband Rick, Mark Stovall and wife Kathy, Sandra Rich, Terry Bowen and husband Scott all of Belfast, Joan Curtis and husband Punky of Rockland; he was "Papa" to his grandchildren, Catina, Caleena, John, Faith, Luke, Dustin, Tiffany, Matthew, Tanya, Rick, Mark, Elizabeth, Tyler, Stormy, Mike, Dawn, Alex and Ari; several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon, October 13th, at United Methodist Church, Mill Lane, Belfast.

Burial will be at Grove Cemetery in Belfast.

Those who wish may make donations in Lee's memory to Sussman House, 40 Anchor Drive, Rockport, ME 04856 or to United Methodist Church, 23 Mill Lane, Belfast, ME 04915.
