Cecil Davis, 96, of Colmesneil, passed away Monday at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville.
Born to Joe and Agnes Sims Davis, he was a retired logger and rancher.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Agnes Williams; son, Harold Davis and grandson, Jamie D. Weeks, warrant officer 5 who was killed in Iraq this year while serving his country.
He was survived by his wife, Cora Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Brenda Davis; daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Robert Moore, Nell Marie and Glenn McNeel, Glenda Jo and Jimmy Weeks and Judy Allen; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
