Age 68, the son of the late Raymond R. and Yvonne Main Beardsley. Dick was a tool and die journeyman for most of his life, working at Triangle Tool in Erie and West Penn Plastics and MTD in New Castle, Pa. He served as Sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, loved dogs, collected vinyl records, and enjoyed fishing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard W. Beardsley (wife Cheryl); and two brothers, Daryl Wayne Beardsley and David Paul Beardsley.
Dick is survived by his wife, Karen Stewart Beardsley; son, Neil A. Beardsley (Maria); daughter, Marilou Welling (Levi); two sisters, Cheryl Seib (Arthur III) of Erie and Kathleen Scott (Gale) of Harborcreek; along with two grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews and their families.
Burial, with military honors in North East Cemetery.
