Mrs. Eliza Avery, wife of Thomas N. Avery, died on Wednesday, Nov 23, 1910 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Carman. Although an invalid for many years, the last illness was of but a few days duration, bronchial asthma being the immediate cause of death. Born in New York, Aug 23, 1838, she and Mr. Avery married 52 years ago and for many years resided in Peekskill. The past 11 years they had spent largely in Matawan, residing with their daughter, Mrs. Carman. Services from her late residence with M.E. Church officiating with internment Rose Hill.
