Wife of Johann "Albert" Böh

Mother of Mary Anna Boeh Feldschneider Fackler, Melchior Boeh, Konrad Boeh, Richardis "Elizabeth" Boeh Archinger, Eva "Barbara" Boeh Filer.

27 Jul 1844 - Arrived in USA. Port of Departure: Havre, France; Ship Name: Utica

5 Jul 1849 - Funeral Mass: old Saint Mary's Church

Initially buried at St. Peter's Cemetery - established in Fairmount, Queen City Avenue between Clifford and Merton (Cincinnati's west side). Consecrated by Bishop Purcell 25 Jan 1843.

From April to October, 1849, about 5,000 of Cincinnati's 110, 000+ residents died from cholera. Bishop Purcell placed an interdict on St. Peter's Cemetery , 9 Sept 1849, after learning some burials at the cemetery had not been vetted to determine their faith tradition (meaning non-Catholics had been buried at the cemetery). Most burials ceased at this point, and shortly afterward, St. John's Cemetery was established in St. Bernard, Ohio for German-speaking Catholics. Most graves were moved to nearby old St. Joseph Cemetery (also established for German-speaking Catholics), while some were moved to St. John's Cemetery.

In 1875, St. Peter's ten-acre cemetery was sold to the Sisters of the Poor of Saint Francis for construction of St. Francis Hospital (hospital closed 1981). A final notice to remove remains from St. Peter's Cemetery was posted in the Cincinnati Enquirer, 22 Apr 1886 indicating excavation work would begin the following week. Not all remains were removed as evidence by 28 Apr 1886 article in Cincinnati Post.

Knowledge of the mass burial location at (most likely) old Saint Joseph Cemetery or (not as likely) new Saint Joseph Cemetery is not known by current cemetery staff I contacted, nor does the Archives office of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or the Cincinnati Catholic Cemetery Society (which administers the German-Catholic cemeteries of Saint John's, old Saint Joseph, and Saint Mary's) retain the burial book for Saint Peter's Cemetery.
