Amos Ross son of Ezekiel and Ruth (Maxwell) Ross was born on 28 January 1789 in Westfield NJ. He moved with his family to Butler County Ohio as a young man and later with the families of some of his children to Jerseyville where he died on 6 September 1868. His parents are buried in the Bethel Cemetery in Hanover Township, Butler County, Ohio. Amos and Lydia Williams were married in the Westfield Presbyterian Church on September 16, 1810.
