Thelma Gessel Ackley
September 8, 1931 - March 21, 2018
Thelma 86, passed away peacefully from a short illness on March 21, 2018. She was born September 8, 1931 in Logan Utah to William and Eva Gessel.
Mom was a member of the LDS Church, where she taught Primary and Sunday School. She met the love of her life, George R Ackley Sr. at the Central Park Ice Skating Rink. They were married December 04, 1948 and later sealed in the Logan Temple. Mom worked as a hostess at the Walnut Room at USU. Then for Logan City Schools until she retired. Mom loved animals and camping with her family.
She is survived by her Four children Pat Wendt, Roger Ackley, Robert Ackley and Jackie Saint, along with 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George R Ackley SR. and her parents.
Graveside services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, and will be held at the Smithfield Cemetery at 12 Noon, Thursday, March 29, 2018. Family and Friends may call to the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street Logan, on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 A.M.
We would like to thank Rocky Mountain Care and Hospice for all the love and care. Mom will be dearly missed.
