Ervin Clayton Akley, 66, a lifelong resident of, Marlboro and formerly road commissioner for the town, died yesterday at his home after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at the Covey Funeral Home. Wilmington, Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery there. Friends may call at the funeral
home tomorrow evening from 7 to 9. He was born in Marlboro Sept 14, 1893, a son of Newell and Alice (Tenney) Akley. He attended school here and on Jan. 12, 1913 was married to the former Eva Mather, who survives. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Rachel O'Connor of Brattleboro and Mrs. Eleanor Adams of Marlboro: one brother, Bertram. of this town; four grand-children and five nieces.
