Mr. Burt, 5222 E. Osborn, had been chief engineer of Capitol Foundry since 1952, where he designed and built the facility. He had been an advisor in Junior Achievement. Born in Farmersburg, Ind., he moved to Phoenix in 1952 from Sharon, Pa. He had also been employed 35 years by Midland Ross Steel Co.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah; a daughter, Barbara Burt of Phoenix; and two sisters out of state.
The family suggests contributions to Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale. Friends may call today in Paradise Chapel, 3934 E. Indian School.
