Roger L. Alexander, Sr., 69, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at his home.

Born April 2, 1949 in Peoria to Floyd and Norma (Johnson) Alexander, he married Bertha McQuiston on September 18, 1978. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Norma Alexander of Creve Coeur; three sons, Troy (Angel) McQuiston of Florida, Roger (Nicole Shelton) Alexander, Jr. and Kurtis (Athena Barclay) Alexander, both of Creve Coeur; three grandsons, Michael, Tyler and Bradley; one great-grandson, Corbin and one sister, Pat (Jim) Brown of Creve Coeur.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Sherry Peterson.

Roger lasted worked for Vonachen Services Inc. in Peoria at the Morton Caterpillar, Inc. facility, retiring in 2017.

An avid Chicago Cubs and Miami Dolphins fan, Roger also enjoyed tinkering, collecting eagles and watching NASCAR.

His memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Cremation has been accorded.

Memorial contributions may be given to Illinois CancerCare, 8940 N Wood Sage Road, Peoria IL 61615 or to the family to help with medical expenses.
