Mrs. Evie Lena McIntosh Hutto, 102, of Warrenville, SC, wife of forty-nine years to Mitchel T. Hutto, Sr., entered into rest in the comfort of her home on Monday, December 20, 2021.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Henderson and Belle Elizabeth Powell Stringfield. She retired from Bath Mill, where she was a Cloth Inspector, after fifty-two years of service. One of the last Centurions in Aiken County, SC, she was a Charter as well as the oldest member of Hillview Baptist Church. Miss Evie enjoyed fishing, trips, especially trips to the mountains, camping and playing her harmonica.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children and their spouses, Terry and Jean McIntosh, North Augusta, SC, Martha Blackwell, Aiken, SC, James McIntosh, Burnettown, SC, Connie and Jerry Adkins, Clearwater, SC, Yvonna McIntosh, North Augusta, SC and Mitchel, Jr, and Esther Hutto, Clarks Hill, SC; eleven grandchildren as well as numerous great-grands and great-great-grands.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, December 23, 2021, beginning at noon at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Mike McAlpin will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
