Mary Cox was born in 1804 at South Carolina USA. She married Rev. John Toliver Cox sometime between 1823 to 1825. They had seven children as follows:
Edna B. "Edney" Cox (Lambert) 1825 - 1860,
Nancy Teresa Cox (Cuttle) 1827 - 1883,
Mary Adeline Cox (Tomey) 1829 - 1896,
Sarah R. Cox (Maltman) 1833 -1908,
William Josiah Cox 1836 - 1908,
James Caspar Cox 1841 - 1884,
Louisa E. Cox (Webb) 1846 - 1900,

Mary Cox and Rev. John T. Cox had there first child Edna born in South Carolina. Nancy was born at Saluda Township, Greenville, South Carolina. Mary was born in Georgia. Sarah was born in Arkansas. William was also born in Arkansas. James was born in Texas. Louisa was born in Fayette County Texas.

Mary Cox and husband Rev. John T. Cox in 1851, John T Cox was the First Worshipful Master of San Gabriel Masonic Lodge #89, Georgetown, Texas.

Sometime in the mid 1850, Mary Cox and Rev. John T. Cox move out to Sebastopol, Sonoma County, California.

Mary Cox husband Rev. John T. Cox died in 1860, his funeral was put on by LaFayette Masonic Lodge of Sonoma County California of which he was a member.

To the best of our knowledge, Mary Cox lived out the rest of her days in Santa Rosa City, Sonoma County, California.
It is unknown how she was laid to rest.
