* A home body- didn't shop, only left home to go to church. Affiliated with a "Hardshell Primitive Baptist" Church. Read the Bible a lot.
* Once took the LDS discussions but was turned off by the Word of Wisdom.
* Liked having the family around: playing cards and games.
* Was an excellent Southern Cook and ran a short-order restaurant out of her home.
* Loved to garden and can. Quilted and knitted.
* Nicknamed "Joy, Joy Bunny" by the grandkids.
