Rosalie Marie Hall, age 80, died on Thursday September 6th, 2018 surrounded by her family. Rose was born in Silverton Oregon on August 11th, 1938 to Nada and Robert Fleming.

Rose was the oldest of five children and at the early age of five years old she took on the role of helping raise and care for her younger siblings whom she loved dearly.

Rose discovered her love for horses at a young age and before long it became her lifelong passion. Rose spent most of her life training horses, giving horse lessons, and counseling her children, grandchildren and students. She dedicated over 40 years of her life to Horse 4-H.

Rose met the love of her life, Douglas Hall, in 1958 and they later married on March 11th, 1961. Together they were blessed with three children. Rose and her family moved to her beloved farm in 1971 where she would spend the remainder of her life; her barn was her sanctuary. Over the years Rose worked on a cattle farm, raised beef of her own, spread her infamous knowledge of horses and trained many. She loved to write, spend time with her growing family and share stories of her life and wisdom. She had a great insight into children's needs and insecurities and dedicated her life to go above and beyond just teaching about horses. Her message to all is to never give up as she never did and her dreams did come true despite all the obstacles in her life.

Rose is survived by her husband of 57 years, Douglas Hall, her three beloved children; Timothy (Betty), Velvet (Gid) and Angela, her brother Gary (Kay), five grandchildren; Meagan (Adam), Sierra (Brandon), Douglas, Shasta (Dom), and Sequoia (Walker) as well as three great grandsons; Jackson, Benson, and Paxton.

Her mother and father, three siblings, as well as other family members and great friends precede Rose in death.

There will be a graveside service held at Valley View Cemetery in Silverton, Oregon on Sunday September 16th at 11am followed by a celebration of life at the Hall residence outside of Woodburn (7699 S. Gibson Rd Woodburn, OR 97071). All are welcome to come celebrate the amazing life of an amazing woman who will be missed immensely.

Rose's family would like to thank all who have reached out and shared their love to the family during this difficult time. No words can explain how truly appreciative we are.
