Alice Marie Allstetter, 92, of West Branch, MI, formally of Milan, MI, passed away August 31, 2017 at Horizons Senior Living Center.
Alice was born April 19, 1925 to Henry and Adelaide Burger. She married Harold Allstetter October 14, 1944 shortly before he deployed to Europe during WWII. Together they had six children and enjoyed many years in the Milan community raising their family. In 1982, they moved to Lupton, MI.
Alice spent her time playing cards, bowling, baking, and helping Harold run the family business. She had a passion for drawing and crocheting. Her Danish pastry recipe is a family favorite and the cause of many arguments over the last one.
Alice is survived by daughter, Connie Deasy of Philadelphia, PA; son, Steve (Jane) Allstetter of Lupton, MI; son, Dave (Julie) Allstetter of Milan, MI; son, Robert Allstetter of Ann Arbor, MI, and daughter, Wendy Romska of Crookston, MN; 7 grandchildren - Jeff (Marion) Allen, Dennis (Michelle) Allen, Sara (Shawn) Gray, Chase (Alexis) Allstetter, Kendra Griggs, Warren Allstetter, and Stephanie Romska, and 2 step-grandchildren, Jim Ridge and Tami Janis. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Harold Allstetter; daughter Kathryrn Ridge; son-in-law, John Ridge; son-in-law Jim Deasy; grandson, Bradly Allen; and step-grandson, Jeff Ridge.
Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 10:00am until 1:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Marble Park Cemetery, Milan.
