Owen M. Burger, 76, of Milan, died Oct. 13, 1989 at Saline Community Hospital. He was born June 24, 1913 in Springwells, MI, the son of Henry and Adelaide (Forsyth) Burger. On Sept. 2, 1939, he married Anita Spencer in Milan; she survives. Mr. Burger was an engineer with Ford Motor Company for over 43 years, retiring in 1975 and was active in establishing the UAW Association in Milan. He also was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Milan Area Historical Society. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, a daughter, seven grandchildren, four sisters, a brother. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father John Bosco officiating. Burial was in Marble Park cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Milan Historical Society.
