Memorial services for Benny F. Ripley, of Blackhawk Beach, Flint lake, who lost his life in an airplane crash northwest of the city Saturday, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the LePell Funeral home with the Rev. Leonard E. Myers, of the Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.

Members of the Valparaiso Aero club, Inc., acted as pallbearers.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Ripley, Valparaiso; two sisters, Mrs. R. E. Coleman, of Newport, Ark., and Mrs. Philip Raschke, Valparaiso; four brothers, Jesse and Herbert, Valparaiso, and Edward and W. D. Ripley, Susanville, Calif.; and seven stepchildren, L. E. and Jeff Thompson, Valparaiso; Jack E. Emery, Lafayette, Ind.; Mrs. Dorothy Muster, Mrs. Florene Palmer, Valparaiso, and Mrs. Louise Blake, of Los Angeles, Calif.

His wife, Ida Belle Ripley, preceded him in death May 21, 1952. A step-son, Robert Lee Emery, was killed in Korea Oct. 15, 1950, while fighting with U.S. forces.
