Mrs. Sarah Herron.
The burial of Mrs. Sarah Herron, who died at the home of her stepdaughter, Mrs. I. Wilson, at Huron Monday, after a few days illness. occured at Effingham Wednesday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. I. Miller at the home of Harry Snavely Wednesday morning. Mrs. Herron was born in Fayette county, near Brownsville, Penn., in 1831. She was married to Francis C. Herron and moved to Kansas in 1871 with her husband and children and located near Huron. Later they moved to a farm north of Effingham where they lived nearly five years. While here she became a member of the Presbyterian church, having carried a membership in the Methodist church since she was 14 years of age. From the farm they moved to Meridan and in 1889 they moved to Oklahoma, where they lived until about twelve years ago when Mr. Herron died. Since that time Mrs. Herron has made her home with he stepson. W. C. B. Herron, in Topeka. She was visiting in Huron at the time of her death.
