Leslie "Les" Lamb, age 82, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD surrounded by his beloved family. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church (5509 W. 41st St). Visitation will be Sunday, August 26, 2018 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, SD where the family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Peace Lutheran Church or The American Cancer Society.

Leslie "Les" Richard Lamb was born on June 29, 1936 in Sioux Falls, SD to parents, Leslie and Martha (Galeener) Lamb. Les attended public school in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School from 1954 and went on to attended Augustana College. He later joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged where he reenlisted in the Army Reserves. Les worked for 44 years at The Sioux Falls Stockyards and retired in 1998. After his retirement he worked part-time at Menards and enjoyed his coworkers. On September 14, 1957 he married Lois Hammer in Flandreau, SD and together they shared 60 years of marriage, and raised two sons, Lenny and Larry Lamb. He was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church and The Elks Lodge in Sioux Falls, SD. Les enjoyed his grandchildren's sporting events and school activities. Les was an avid bowler, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, the St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time with his family.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Lois Lamb; their children, Lenny Lamb and his wife Connie, Larry Lamb and his wife, Jolene; grandchildren, Jennifer Lamb, Bailey Lamb, and Matthew Lamb, all of Sioux Falls, SD; and a host of additional relatives and friends.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Martha Lamb, sisters, Jean Behrens and Dorothy Bedford; grandson, Logan Lamb.
