Josephine was born August 30, 1893, in Panajamo, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Paniflo and Maria Guadualupe (Rodriguez) Alcantar. She died peacefully at home, on Monday, November, 28, 1987, in Northglenn, Colorado, at the age of 94.

In 1923 she was united in marriage with Pablo Arroyo and were married for 22 years. Our Mother, a woman who gave everything to her family and others and asked little in return. She had a beautiful life and we are grateful for having her in our life. She was wonderful, caring mother and a loving friend. We cherish our time with her and celebrate her life and spirit. She touched so many and kept her love intact.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Arroyo and her parents, Paniflo and Guadualupe Ancantar.

Survivors include her children: Jess (Sara) Arroyo; Helen (Andrew) Vierya; Charles (Inez) Arroyo; and Lucille (Anthony) Garcia and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
