Mary Hommel Rites Wednesday In Franklin

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Gertie Hommel, a rural Franklin housewife, are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Flinn-Maguire Funeral Home with Rev. Paul E. DuBois officiating. Friends may call Tuesday 2 until 5 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Hommel died Sunday afternoon in Indiana University Medical Center after a six-month illness. She was 58 years old.

Born August 28, 1911 in Adair County, Kentucky she was the daughter of Melvin and Leona Bingham. Married Oct. 20, 1934 in Indianapolis, her husband Carl survives.

Sons and daughters surviving are Bill Hommel of Greenfield, Mrs. Damon Decker and Phillip Hommel of Franklin, Larry Hommel of California, Richard Hommel of Indianapolis and Vickie Hommel at home. One daughter, Judith Linville, is deceased.

Brothers and sisters surviving are Gleason Bigham, Junie and Lawrence Bingham, Ruth Burtrum, Evelyn Ford, and Pauline Smith. One brother James is deceased.
