Rita Louise Pearson Fisher, 75 of Union, Oregon passed away on Sunday August 26, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Treasure Valley in Boise.
She was born on October 25, 1942 in Moore, Idaho to Albert Blaine Pearson and Avis Eyleen Sherry. She graduated from Butte County High School after which she graduated from the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, UT. Later in life, she attended Eastern Oregon State College where she received a bachelor’s degree in education.
She was a homemaker until her children were grown, and then briefly worked as a high school administrative assistant in Union, OR.
Sewing, crocheting, knitting and reading were some of her favorite hobbies and interests. She also loved studying the scriptures and learning her family history through genealogy work. She kept her own history in her journal that she faithfully wrote in.
Her greatest loves were her grandchildren. She enjoyed giving them small gifts and treats when they would come to visit. They would tell her about their lives and activities and she would enjoy hearing all about it.
She is survived by her children; Linda DeMoss of La Grande, OR, Tricia Webster of La Grande, OR, Ronald (Janet) Fisher of Dubai, UAE, Debra Fisher of Dallas, OR, David (Heather) Fisher of Idaho Falls, ID, Adam (Anne) Fisher of Lehi, UT and Steven (Brandy) Fisher of Meridian, ID, siblings, Ruth Eyleen Acor, Sherry Anne (Garner) Oleson and Gary (Sheril) Blaine, 21 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Avis Pearson.
Family and friends will gather for a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday September 1, 2018 at the Moore LDS Church. Graveside services will follow at the Lost River Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Following the services, a luncheon for family and friends will be held back at the Moore LDS Church.
