1942-2018
Henry L. Cook, 76 of Edmond, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, August 25, 2018, after battling Alzheimer's the last few years. He was born February 3, 1942 in Chickasha, OK to Olten and Vera Cook. Henry was married on June 6, 1962 in Bucklin, Kansas. He graduated from Midwest Christian College, and spent his life serving in ministry at several churches in Oklahoma. Henry never met a stranger, as he loved talking to everyone that crossed his path. This was in part due to his passion of reaching everyone for Christ. He also loved to fish, especially with his sons and grandchildren and also enjoyed watching OU football.
Henry is survived by his wife of 56 years, two sons, two grandchildren, a brother, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings: Marjorie Hill, Pansy Durre, Ralph Cook, Leo Cook, Ruby Cook, and Elsie Goble.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cookson Hills Christian Ministries or The Alzheimer's Research Association.
Services are at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
