Elsie Roberta Goble, 82, born Nov. 29, 1935, in Apache, OK to Olten and Vera Cook, passed away peacefully on Dec. 13, 2017, in Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by sisters, Marjorie Hill, Pansy Durre, and Ruby Cook; and two brothers, Leo Cook and Ralph Cook. Elsie accepted Christ at an early age. She loved the Lord and took her Christianity very serious. Elsie graduated from Midwest Christian College in 1959. She was a faithful member of Forest Hills Christian Church and later in life, Tyler Christian Church. She enjoyed playing the piano for the church and teaching Sunday school. She was a friend and blessing to many during her life and will be missed. She enjoyed gardening and raising her many animals: horses, ducks, chickens, and her beloved Collies on her farm in Tyler. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 TX HWY 64 in Tyler, TX. Burial will immediately follow in the Tyler Memorial Cemetery. There will also be a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Town & Country Christian Church, 2200 Cornwell Dr. in Yukon, OK.
