Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Shirley Arceneaux Vincent; two daughters, Carla Vincent and partner, Ednie K. Garrison and Cassandra V. LaGrange and her husband, David; one son Duane J. Vincent and his wife, Norma Jean; three brothers, Manfred Vincent, Winston Ray Vincent and Edwin DeVillier, Jr.; nine grandchildren, Kristen (Joe), Christopher, Jacob (Tristyn), Rebekah (Erik), Rachel, Holly, Eric, Amber (Leonard) and Christopher (Amber); and fifteen great-grandchildren, Joseph, Noah, Landen, Gabrielle, Braedon, Ashlan, Raegan, Cyrus, Ruger, Remington, Jude, Isabella, Olivia, Declan and Gunnar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Vincent and Effie Broussard Vincent DeVillier; three sisters, Melba Jeanne Patin, Mary Dell Trahan, and Ann DeVillier; and two brothers Belson Vincent and Russell Vincent, Sr.
Carl was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a member of the United States Navy, proudly served his country during the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW Post 9822 in Judice, Louisiana. Mr. Vincent worked for the US Postal service for many years before his retirement. He was an avid musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and accordion. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
