Services for Bobby Glynn Gipson will be held Friday, August 24, 2018, 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, Mississippi.
Mr. Gipson, age 81, died on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville.
He was born on October 22, 1936 in Stewart, Mississippi, to the late Reese and Onie Simpson Gipson, and resided in Greenwood most of his life. Mr. Gipson retired as a truck driver with J.J. Ferguson after 42 years of service, and was a US army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Lefaye Gipson of Greenwood, MS; daughter, Madonna Gipson of Jacksonville, FL; son, William "Bill" Jernigan of Koscuisko, MS; granddaughter, Breanna Gipson of Jacksonville, FL; and three sisters, Mareese Johnson of Winona, MS, Bennie Peerson of Greenwood, MS, and Faye Breazeale of Winona, MS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev Jack Wooten will officiate the services.
