She was born at Fort Griffin, June 3, 1869. Professed religion and joined the Baptist church in October 1884; since then she has been an exemplary, faithful and noble Christian. A kind and dutiful daughter, a tender and loving sister, affectionate and generous disposition, meek and forgiving spirit, shedding light and happiness upon all around her.
Though young, she was of profound religious feelings, and in moments of trials and despondencies, when the dark clouds of adversity would gather, she would go to her Bible for hope, comfort and consolation. Truly, death loves a shining mark, and has plucked from Life's garden one of the sweetest, purest and most promising rosebuds.
