Donald Ernest Mingus, 79, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Wellsville, New York, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2006. Donald graduated from Whitesville High School and served in the U. S. Army. He was employed by Fred Short Wholesale in Wellsville for 22 years and at Short’s Service Station in Andover for ten years.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette (Jan); one daughter, Yvonne Matthews of Orlando, Florida; two step-sons, Mark (Diana) Sherwood of Lakeville, New York and Jeffrey (Sandy) Sherwood of Wellsville; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, at the East Sharon Cemetery in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania.
