Desmond Thornton officiating according to Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, 1605 3rd Avenue, Columbus. Mr. Boddie was born January 22, 1949 to the late William and Bessie Hamler Boddie. He was a graduate of Carver High School, Hamilton, GA. After moving to Atlanta, GA, "Jackie" as he was known by many used his skill of working with his hands to embark upon numerous careers the last being a Construction Technician with E.R. Snell, Snellville, GA. He Leaves to cherish his memories his son, Nicholas Jason Boddie; daughter, Brandi Nicole Boddie; two sisters, Brenda M.(Oscar) Brown and Linda Blue; aunt Alma Goodwin; nephew, Christopher Blue; great niece, Skylar Blue; the mother of his children, Carolyn D. Hill and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
