Funeral services for Charlie Ayers Jr., 63, of 2040 O'Hannon Street, Greenville, will be held at St. Mark's Baptist Church in Glen Allan with burial in the Glen Allan Cemetery. Rev. E. D. Minor will officiate. Edwards & Evans Funeral Home of Greenville has charge.

Mr. Ayers died 27 August 1976 of an apparent heart attack. He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Ayers of Greenville; three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Bennett of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Charnell Thomas of Glen Allan, and Mrs. Annette Harris of Greenville; five sons, Charlie Ayers III of the U. S. Army, stationed in Germany, Rufus Ayers of Globe, Ariz., and Roger Ayers, Andrew Ayers, and Marshall Ayers, all of Glen Allan; a brother, Jake B. Ayers Sr. of Glen Allan; a sister, Mrs. Adlene Harvey of Chicago, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
