Carolyn Ruth Graves, age 59 of Irving, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born on December 6, 1958 in Galveston, Texas to William and Lynn Peacock. They both preceded her in death along with her son, Alex Choate and sister, Debra Romero. Carolyn married David Graves on February 18, 2005 in Las Vegas. She was a real “foodie” that also loved to cook, and could also make an amazing gumbo. Carolyn had a great sense of humor and liked to be the life of the party. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She leaves behind her husband, David Graves; daughter, Cassie Anders and wife Ceirra; stepdaughters, Candice Stephens and husband Brandon, Andrea Graves; step-mom, Dora Lee Peacock; siblings, Barbara Jean Parker, Brenda Gail Arnold, Billy Wayne Peacock, Shawn Peacock, Theodore Parker, John Berry and Marion Bell; grandchildren, Makayla, Micah, Paige, Mason, Madox and soon to be born, Baby Alex. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 1st from 6-8 p.m., at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 2nd at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, TX.
