Retired since Jan 2002, I grew up in Lamb County, TX. now living in Houston, Texas. Continuing my Dad's research on Rogers, Simons, Slaughter, Couch, Machen, Lowry, Simmons, Sheppard, Chambliess lines.
I respectfully request that photos of death certificates not be posted on any memorials I manage. Send me the transcript of the D/C without the cause of death and I will gladly post it in the bio section.
Most of my pages from Forest Park-Westheimer, Littlefield Mem. Park, Oak Grove Mem. Gardens in Irving, TX, Sudan Cem., or Rose Hill in Tulia are not relatives so I will transfer according to FindaGrave guidelines. Please state your relationship on any transfer requests.
If you ask for a transfer, my expectation is that you will enhance it.. add data... link to relatives, not that you will just "warehouse" it.
I WILL NOT do any transfers or updates that come to me on the message board, that is why I turned the message board off, but if you need to contact me, my email address is posted above and below. Please, please please use the EDIT tabs on the memorials to make updates. This is what it was designed and set up for so please use it.
PLEASE DO NOT use my personal family pictures on other websites without my permission.
Just found this Official FindaGrave Rule:How should I enter all married names for a woman's memorial when she was married more than once? The 'last name' should be the name that is on the headstone. Other married names should be included as part of the biography section. The 'maiden name' should only be her maiden name.
Cemetery Notes:If you have a request for a photo and secure the location of the grave, YOUR CHANCES OF IT BEING CLAIMED IS MUCH BETTER. City cemeteries usually have a phone number or a WEBSITE on which you can request this information. IT IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT FOR SMALL COUNTRY CEMETERIES.If you want both husband & wife, do two requests so I know who I am looking for; don't make me guess!
