Sarasota, FL - Maurice F. Skinner Sr., 95, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on July 16, 2018. Maurice was born March 7, 1923 to the late Ralph E. Skinner and Jennie Warren.

Maurice was acting Sargent of the USMC during World War II, and heavily involved in the Pacific Island Company. He was a Past Master of the Caroline Lodge #681 Freemasons.

Maurice is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Reed, who passed away in 1994. He is survived by his children, Bruce E. (Susan) Skinner, and Maurice F. (Leslie) Skinner Jr., both of Groton, New York; his grandchildren, Shaun (Erin) Skinner, Maurice F. (Billi) Skinner III, Heather (Bradley) Tenny, Derek (Kirsty) Rose, Joshua Skinner, Adam Skinner and Troy Skinner; as well as his many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, or the Masonic Medical Research Institute at 2500 Bleeker Street, Utica, New York 13501.
