52-year-old Dr. Gregory Ernest Ray of Clarksville, formerly of Smithville, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. He was an Optometrist and a member of the Hillsdale Baptist Church in Clarksville.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

Brother Larry Robertson and Brother Darrell Cantrell will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday in Clarksville from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 at Hillsdale Baptist Church, Saturday at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Odom Ray of Clarksville; children, Nicholas Odom Ray and Allie Jane Ray of Clarksville; and parents, Ernest and Elene Ray of Adams, Tennessee.
