Diana graduated with honors from Woman’s College (UNC at Greensboro) and double degrees in Spanish and Economics, completing her studies at NC State University alongside her beloved husband.
Diana was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia. She was an accomplished pianist and taught many adults and children during her 28-year career. She also offered her talents in playing for her church, teaching Sunday School and leading Children’s Choirs. She conducted the area’s annual Junior Music Festivals and served on the State Board of Directors of the NC Federation of Music Clubs. She served as Chairman of the Music Selection Committee for the Gaston Music Education Foundation. Many of Gaston County’s finest young musicians earned valuable music scholarships through this program.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Davis and wife Susan of Gastonia and Keith Davis of Cathedral City, CA; and grandchildren, Emily and Hunter Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carroll Davis and brother, James M. Davie.
