Doris Lee Hardy, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born September 1, 1931 in Muhlenburg Co. to the late French and Nancy Blaine Gaston. Doris was a member of Owensboro Church of Christ and was retired from Swedish Match after 31 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and had always loved the farm life with her husband. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris had tremendous faith and loved her church very much. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ellis A. Hardy on August 23, 2012, a brother, Carson Ray Gaston, and a sister, Wilodine Arnold.

Surviving are her sons, Kevin Hardy and wife Monica and Mark Hardy and wife Phyllis, all of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Carissa Smith and husband Gabe, Clint Hardy and wife Amanda, Lindsey Corley and husband Dan, Amanda Jacobson and husband Jeremy, and Matthew "Matt" Hardy and wife Kiersten, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Clara Nell Toomey of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Noon Wednesday, August 15, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
