According to Winson's sister, Wanda Keith, Parkinson's disease struck Winson in his early 20's. It wasn't long until almost half his body was paralyzed. He lived with his parents all his life and helped out as much as he was capable of around the farm. She said he loved to play with his nieces and nephews. She said that all his life he was a kind person who never complained about the disease that burdened him. He never married and had no children.
