House Destroyed About 2.15 p.m. yesterday, the five-roomed residence of Mr Robert Upston, two miles from Woodville, on the Woodlands Road, was destroyed by fire, to the considerable loss of the occupants. Both Mr and Mrs Upston were attending a wedding in Woodville when a neighbour noticed the outbreak and secured their return, but the fire had obtained too great a hold and the house was almost completely destroyed. The building is insured for £425 and the furniture for £200 (March 2018 equivalent of $75,500)
