May was born on April 20, 1918 in Salt Lake City to Edward William and Lillian May Gamble Braby. She graduated from South High School and later married Irvin Bruderer Nydegger in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Nov. 15, 1940.
May was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. For many years, she served as the office manager of the LDS Church Employees Credit Union. She was an avid tennis player. She loved music, flowers, and spent many happy hours reading. She was a very dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved all her children and greatly enjoyed each new baby born to her large family. It was always her desire that her children and grandchildren know of her deep and abiding testimony of the Savior. She was ever faithful to Irvin in his important callings in the Church. As he traveled most weekends, she was the loving wife and mother who stayed at home and nurtured a wonderful family.
May is now reunited with her loving parents and beloved husband, and two sons, Stephen and Scott, all who preceded her in death. We all rejoice in that wonderful reunion. May will be missed by us, but is again with those who have missed her for so many years.
May is survived by her son Robert (Marge) Nydegger; daughter Julie (Robert) Swensen; and son Fred (Debbie) Nydegger; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister Jeane McDaniel.
