Kathy Darlene Edwards of Heavener, Oklahoma was born on July 8, 1960 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Clarence and Dorothy “BoJohn” (Woodral) Benson and passed away June 23, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 57.

Gracie Benson of Heavener, Oklahoma

Two great-grandchildren:
Kaidence Malone of Oak Grove, Louisiana
McKenlie Malone of Oak Grove, Louisiana

Five sisters:
Sharon Smallwood of Waldron, Arkansas
Mary Benson Green of Wister, Oklahoma
Bonnie and David Dehart of Heavener, Oklahoma
Linda Benson of Wister, Oklahoma
Penny and David Williams of Hectorville, Oklahoma

Two brothers:
TC and Teresa Benson of Wister, Oklahoma
Norman Benson of Poteau, Oklahoma

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lisa Goins; one brother-in-law, Carl Edwards; and a special cousin, Martha Lemmons. Kathy was a long-time resident of the area and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Kathy will be deeply missed by many whom loved and knew her.

Funeral service: Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ray Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to help with Kathy’s medical expenses at the Central National Bank to the account of Keith Edwards.
