ROCKTON WOMAN'S FATHER DIES LAST FRIDAY IN BELOIT
Clifford W. Atkinson, 74, father of Mrs. O. E. Loomis, died suddenly at the Beloit hospital last Friday night, where he had been a patient for a few days.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer funeral chapel in Beloit. Burial was made in Eastlawn cemetery.
Mr. Atkinson was born Oct. 26, 1872 in Burritt township, son of the late James and Jane Atkinson. He married Miss Lillian Bliss of Rockton on June 24, 1896. She died in October, 1929. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, Modern Woodmen, and the Eagles.
Surviving relatives are a son, Dr. Dwight C. Atkinson of Rusk, Texas, and a daughter, Mrs. O. E. Loomis, Rockton. A brother, Ross Atkinson, died in Rockford last year.
