JAY NATIVE DIES IN OHIO

Jesse E. Parsons, 81, a resident of Greenville, Ohio, died Friday at the Wayne Hospital in Greenville. He had been in failing health for the past two months. He was born in Jay County July 6, 1881, the son of Jerome and Catherine (Smith) Parsons. For several years he lived in the vicinity of Eldorado, Ohio.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Harold W. Parsons, Richmond, Leonard Parsons, Fort Wayne, and Francis Parsons, Homestead, Fla., Mrs. Byron Shellabarger, Greenville, and Mrs. Raymond Deaton, Decatur; one stepson, Arnett K. Bickel, Fort Wayne; one brother and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Lanning, Winchester and John Parsons, New Castle; ten grandsons and seven granddaughters; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Rev. Henry T. Barnhart of Dayton, Ohio will officiate. Burial will be in the Boundary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
