The deceased was employed as a schoolteacher for 18 years and taught in the General Shanks School in Portland for seven years. While living in Portland, she was known as Della Bickel.
The deceased was a daughter of Vynul and Mary Catherine (Dickes) Arnett and was born November 24, 1878.
In February 1898 she married to Ellsworth Bickel, who died June 4, 1899.
On June 1, 1914, she was married to Jesse Parson, who survives.
She is also survived by the following children, Bonita, wife of Byron Shellabarger, Francis O. Parsons, Leonard E. Parsons, and Kathleen, wife of Raymond Deaton,one stepson, Harold W. Parsons, five grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one sister Mrs. May (Eley) Gaunt
She was preceded in death by two half-brothers and four grandchildren.
