MAYSVILLE — Joey Lee Watson, 55, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 at the University of Kentucky hospital after a short illness.
He was born Dec. 2, 1962 to the late Vernon and Barbara Claypool Watson.
Survivors include his son, Corey Lee Watson of Maysville; stepson, Steve Laakso of Cincinnati; and stepdaughter, Katrina Laakso Kimball of Raceland. He also leaves behind three sisters, Kelly (Pat) Claypool, Kathy (Rob) Galloway and Kimberly (Tom) Brady; and four grandchildren, Tristan and Kira Watson and Braydon and Riley Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Kathie Joy Watson.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Germantown.
