Wayne Rutland passed away on August 8, 2018.
He was born, on September 14, 1920, in Bend, Texas to Cecil Roy Rutland and Lena (Cate) Rutland. Their mother died due to complications from child birth, and the twins were raised by their mother’s family.
Wayne served in WW2 (in the Pacific theatre) in the U.S. Navy Seabees during the Marshall Islands invasion and later served on the island of Guam.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Imogene (Foreman) Rutland, and brother, Wade Rutland and wife Betti.
Visitation will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Friday, August 9, 2018, at Stockdale Church of Christ.
Funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 10, 2018, at Stockdale Church of Christ.
Interment will be in the Stockdale Cemetery.
