Jimmie Maurine Harrell, 72, of Rock Creek, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at her residence. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5 at Bosqueville Cemetery with Pastor Allen Grant officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Jimmie, a lifetime area resident, was born in McLennan County, to the late Levi and Rachael Wright Spence. She married Billy Gene Harrell on July 8, 1968 in Waco and together they owned and operated a dairy.
She was preceded in death by her husband in November 2001; brothers: Robert Leslie Spence, Edwin "Tink" Spence, Lawrence Spence, Ira Spence and J. W. "Dub" Osteen; and sister, Blanche Vaughn.
Survivors include her sons, Raymond Hixson and wife, Jessie, of Rock Creek, and Ricky Hixson and wife, Karen, also of Rock Creek; grandchildren: Justin, Kevin, and Amy Hixson; sisters: Ruby Keas, of Waco, Bea Young, of Newark, Texas, Catherine Burtchell, of Robinson, and Betty Wilkerson and husband, Johnny, of Ft. Worth; sister-in-law, Pat Harrell, of Westminster, Colo.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
